The joint Ruminomics/RMG Network workshop was held in Dublin, Ireland on 22nd June 2013. The workshop was divided into a morning session with several presentations describing techniques associated with ruminal microbiome and metagenome analysis. The post-lunch session provided updates on the activities of the RMG Network and the underpinning Global Rumen Census and Hungate 1000 projects. The final session provided an opportunity to cover areas of interest such as culturing, taxonomy and the future role for the RMG Network.
